About
Eraclea Mare is the seaside of Eraclea, a small city in the Veneto region in northern Italy, located on the Adriatic coast between the towns of Caorle and Jesolo. The economy is mostly based on agriculture and tourism with its 6 km-long beaches. The name Eraclea was mentioned for the first time officially in 640, two new dioceses were founded: Torcello and Eraclea. About the middle of the 7th century, Eraclea was the biggest town of the estuary and had important business and diplomatic relations both with the Byzantine and the Longobard Court of Pavia. Under the Venice government, Eraclea had an age of splendour. Memorable was the reconquest of the city of Ravenna, under the leadership of the Doge Orso Partecipazio.

Beach
The largest beach concession in Eraclea Mare with over 900 beach spaces equipped with new sunbeds and beach umbrellas, safes, a large space between one pitch and another, and a great deal of attention to cleanliness. You can find here modern hot solar showers, bathrooms and changing rooms, free WI-FI, and a kids’ area with toys and entertainment. Special attention is paid to the differently-abled, with special beach spaces and rigid walkways that allow them to arrive directly at their beach space. There are also special wheelchairs, that allow users to enter the water directly.
Services
Eraclea Mare is a typical seaside destination that truly comes to life during the summer months. In the off-season, only basic services such as residential agencies, laundries, hairdressers, barbershops, and pharmacies are available for the small number of permanent residents. During this quieter period, the only tourists are typically Italians, who visit for health-focused walks along the sea, particularly on weekends.
Sports
At the end of Eraclea Mare is a smaller ranch where you can book a horse ride. The beach and the surrounding trails are pleasant for beach volleyball, tennis, cycling, walking, jogging, running, yoga and meditation. Near Eraclea Mare, there are several campsites and water parks. For golf lovers, the golf courses in Caorle and Jesolo are within easy walking distance.
Winter
In winter, Eraclea Mare also experiences bad weather, especially in November. Compared to Venice and other seaside locations, it is more protected by a lagoon, and there is usually no major destruction. However, beaches are also lost and destroyed, which are repaired during the early months of the year to give tourists the expected comfort and undisturbed vacation.
Trips to the surroundings
There are many interesting cities in the area with amazing histories. You should see Venice, Chioggia, Treviso, Portogruaro, San Dona di Piave, Caorle. But we have one special recommendation. Aquileia, an important city in the Roman Empire and then the main centre for the spread of Christianity in northern and eastern Europe, represents an extraordinary opportunity for knowledge and offers an unforgettable visit.
